“Oh heavens forbid,” Mamoru cried dramatically, “You would really force me to get up there on the bar in front of everyone and do something like that?” He shook his head pretending to be dismayed as he added, “and here I thought you were considerate to other’s feelings.”
Mamoru was quiet for a long moment, trying to figure out how to put in to words what he was thinking. “It’s just ...” He hesitated again before continuing, “I guess it comes down to what started all of this and trust. Trust is a big thing. I guess it’s not really a learned behavior, it’s just something that you’ve got to do but still it’s something you understand better then I do.” He glanced down thoughtfully at Usagi for a moment before saying, “I do wish that you would stop thinking that you weren’t an intelligent person Usa, it’s simply not true.”
He grinned teasingly and said, “I suppose that’s true. I wouldn’t have thought I’d be out here five minutes ago, but I assure you I don’t think I can put my legs behind my head. I haven’t ever tried it, but then I don’t see myself attempting it either.”
Mamoru glanced over her shoulder as he pondered the question. “Let’s see, what kind of hidden talents might I have ...” He glanced back down at her with another grin and asked, “Would you believe my hidden talents are so well hidden that I’m not even sure what they are?”

"There are consequences. You should have thought about the consequences when you rhetorically talked about not accepting your punishment," Usagi smirked back. "Punishments aren't designed to be mean, they're designed to build character. Doing the macarena would definitely build your character."
If they hadn't been dancing, Usagi would have shrugged at his words. "Well... Trust is inherently important, but I guess it wouldn't be fair to say it's not a learned behavior. Goes back to attachment theory, and all that." That was something nobody could change, what happened to them in their childhood, but as a psychology professor of hers was fond of saying: 'You can't control your past or your parent's actions, but you control how you react to it from here on out.' She had to withhold from shrugging again at his remark about her being intelligent. Seriously, who did he think he was kidding? This was Tsukino Usagi he was talking to. Spaz extraordinaire, who met him through an atrocious test grade, who barely passed her high school entrance examinations, and who go through college only by monumental effort, not any intellectual acumen. She appreciated Mamoru's attempts to be nice, but really. She was dumb, but not dumb enough to swallow that. There came a point where compliments started to become lies. Very nice, sweet sounding lies, but lies nonetheless. She simply chose not to reply.
Usagi tried not to smirk as Mamoru said his hidden talents were too hidden, but the corners of her mouth twitched anyway. "Oh, I see... You have repressed your hidden talents because you yourself couldn't handle their brilliance..."

“I’m to be punished for just thinking about something?” Mamoru shook his head sadly and murmured, “That hardly seems fair. Would you punish a schoolboy for thinking about skipping a class but not actually doing it?” His smirk returned as he added, “As for punishments building character I’ll agree with that, but me doing the macarena on the bar that’s not going to happen. You’d just have to come up with another punishment.”
He nodded and said, “I suppose that makes sense ...” Mamoru really wasn’t all that comfortable with the subject at the moment so he didn’t say anything more on it. It didn’t escape his notice that Usagi didn’t respond to the rest of what he had said, which meant that more then likely she was continuing to view herself in a poor light. He couldn’t help frowning, his gaze darkening in momentary irritation that she was feeling so down on herself. However, he was smart enough to realize that continued talking on the subject was only going to result in an argument. Chasing his previous dark look away with another smile Mamoru changed the subject by saying, “I must say, for a punishment I’ve found this to be rather fun. I’ll have to do this more often.”
Mamoru grinned in amusement as he said, “That’s right ... those hidden talents of mine, they are just so exceptional that I had to repress them because I couldn’t handle their brilliance.”

"No. That was your rhetorical punishment to your rhetorical question about what would rhetorically happen to you if you had refused this punishment." She raised an eyebrow at him. "Not gonna happen, eh? Well I'll get you to do the macarena eventually."
Mamoru's reply was bland, Usagi didn't know if it was because this made him uncomfortable, or he didn't want to admit that he didn't know much about it. He had gone through med school, he probably did, but she still inquired: "You're familiar with attachment theory?" Might as well ask, she knew she hated it when conversations were above her head.
"You'll have to tap into them, then. Figure out what they are. Or maybe I will," Usagi teased. "I think I could have fun doing that. I could create a whole list of possible secret talents you could attempt just to see if you have them. Starting with putting your legs behind your head."

“Nope, it’s not going to happen, forget it. Wasn’t the bossa nova enough for you?” He smirked a little before adding, “At least not on a bar in front of a group of people like this.”
Mamoru inwardly sighed when Usagi didn’t let the subject go. He would much prefer not talking about it. However, he dutifully replied, “I’m familiar with it, at least a little. I can’t say that I studied it very much but I do know what it is. It has to do with children supposedly needing a secure relationship with adult care givers and if they don’t normal social and emotional development doesn’t occur, correct?”
He continued to watch her in amusement as he replied, “I’ll let you figure them out then if that’s really what you want to do, but I assure you I can’t put my legs behind my head. I’m not that limber I think.”
A few minutes later the song they were dancing to ended. Mamoru frowned in disappointment but slowed his movements and reluctantly dropped her hands. “Good things come to an end I guess, shall we return to our table. I’d imagine Phillips has finished having that glass cleared away and our drinks have probably arrived by now.”

"The trouble with the bossa nova is that once I've seen it, I want more," Usagi grinned. "And I'll get you to macarena even if I have to take you to a hypnotist! Don't make me say that your next punishment will be salsa, or God forbid, Argentinian tango!" It was an idle threat. Usagi didn't know how to dance either one of them, and was pretty sure that she wouldn't be able to learn without klutzing out a few thousand times.
"Yup, that's the gist of it," Usagi confirmed. Mamoru didn't seem too terribly keen on the subject. "Though there are branches of it that deal with adult relationships as well." She dropped it after that. This wasn't the time or place.
"Maybe you need to get more flexible, then," Usagi teased, joking entirely. "Maybe I should have you try the splits. You could, secretly, be a gymnast. That could be your secret talent. You'll never know until you try."
Usagi nodded, reluctantly releasing her hold. It always felt like a spell had broken after music ended. Of course, they struck up another song, but it was some smooth jazz this time, nothing really fun. "Yeah, and our food might be getting cold as well, at least the warm food..." She plopped back in her chair and began to eat, though she was considerate enough not to just chow down. Usagi's eye wandered to Mamoru's drink. "You promised me a sip," she reminded him.

“If you enjoyed a simple dance that much Usa, how could I refuse a request for more ...” Mamoru smirked down at Usagi, his eyes glittering in amusement, and murmured, “as for the macarena, well it couldn’t be for a punishment since I willingly took my last one so what would you do for me if I gave in to your demands I wonder and no fair threatening with more outrageous punishments.”
Mamoru nodded when she mentioned the parts of the theory branching off into adult relationships, but since she seemed willing to drop the subject after saying that Mamoru didn’t respond much more then that.
“The splits ...,” Mamoru shook his head and quickly said, “No, no my secret talents isn’t being a gymnast. I have no wish to try and possibly damage ...” He paused briefly before continuing, “certain areas. I have no desire to gain any pulled muscles in that particular region. You’ll have to think of something else to be my secret hidden talents.”
He followed her back to the table and begin to nibble at his own appetizers. He chuckled lazily at her reminder of his promise and quickly pushed his glass over to her. “Only if you remember your promise to share half of your own my dear...”

"If you gave into my demands? Well I suppose it depends on what I was demanding... As for the salsa and tango, I was kidding. I could never get the hang of that, at least the macarena is easy, and everyone does it so you'll never stick out."
Usagi giggled at his response to her teasing about being a gymnast. "Oh fiddlesticks! Does this mean I have no chance of seeing you in tights, then? I've been trying to figure out a way even since we put on that production of Snow White and you had to wear the prince's costume..." she joked.
Licking her lips in anticipation, Usagi slid her own shooter to Mamoru, gingerly picking up the cocktail glass and taking a medium-sized sip. She let the mixed beverage swirl around in her mouth before she swallowed, nodding slowly. "That's pretty good. I'll have to order one of those," she remarked, pushing it back over to him and then smiled with all the innocence she could muster. "How are you enjoying that blowjob?" Usagi asked cutely.

“The macarena dear, when you are saying you are going get me to do it even if you have to take me to hypnotist that’s a demand.” Mamoru grinned as he teased, “So what would give me to do it for you and as for everyone doing it, not everyone is doing it on the bar so I think I would stick out a bit.” He paused a moment before adding, “I don’t think I could get the salsa or the tango either and I did actually know you were kidding.”
He grinned brightly as she giggled at his response. “Well now I never said I couldn’t accommodate your wishes you know. If you really want to see me in a pair of tights, provided of course it’s just you, all you have to do is ask. I’d be glad to dress up anyway you wanted just for you ...”
Mamoru picked up the shooter, but held off from drinking any of it while he watched Usagi take a sip of his own drink. He grinned at her approval and murmured, “Go right ahead ... I certainly don’t mind buying you another one.” He had just finished taking his offered half of Usagi’s blowjob when she asked him if he was enjoying it. Now again logically he realized that she was just talking about the drink in his hand, however that didn’t stop his mind from conjuring up images that were not innocent in the slightest. He shifted a little uncomfortably in his chair and muttered, “I um, I enjoyed it quite a bit.” Mamoru suddenly grinned at her and innocently added, “Perhaps I’ll have to get a repeat sometime ...”

"That's not a demand, that's a statement of fact," Usagi deadpanned. "A demand would be telling you to do something and expecting you to do it. I said I would get you to macarena. That is a statement of fact. Any action or complicity on your part is not needed. I am not telling you to make it happen. I am telling you it will happen." She dropped her serious moue for a moment, a wicked grin lighting up her face. "Didn't I tell you I could be dominant?"
The wicked smile never left her face as Mamoru told her he'd dress up just for her. "Just for me, hmm? Oh, dear me. Where could I go with this? Would you dress up as a Bollywood star?" Usagi asked slyly. If he was saying he was going to win her back, no better place to start than emulating Bollywood! "If I was coordinated, I would learn to dance Bhangra in addition to salsa and tango. Oh, and bellydance, too. It all looks so fun."
She beamed when Mamoru offered to buy her another drink, though Usagi had to finish her others, first. Besides, she was sure this evening had set him back quite a bit. Between the expensive dinner, the books, now this... Well, she just hoped he took her advice and headed back to work after this.
Usagi nearly died laughing at Mamoru's expression at what she said, but settled for loud giggling as he quickly recovered and quipped back at her.
"I'm glad to hear that. I've always thought that blow jobs were very tasty." It was almost like a competition now.

“Ahh so you think that I should dance the macarena simply because you tell me to? I don’t know, that just doesn’t seem very fair to me.” Mamoru shook his head and added, “It should be a fair trade, I dance for you and you do something for me ...” His lips tilted once more into a grin as he continued, “Then again you are the queen and you are rather dominant, maybe I really don’t have a choice.”
Again his gaze glinted in amusement as he saw the wicked smile on Usagi’s face. “A Bollywood star, well if that’s want you want I could probably pull that off. Your wish is my command and all of that.” When she went on to say if she was coordinated she would learn to dance Bhangra, the salsa, tango, and the bellydance, Mamoru’s gaze turned just as wicked as her smile and her purred softly, “I’ll dance for you Usa and I’ll dress up anyway you want, but only if you learn that bellydance for me. That’s something I’d love to see ...”
Mamoru shifted uncomfortably in his seat and grinned faintly at Usagi. “Just how many blow jobs have you had Usa hmm? I wasn’t even aware that you were that ... experienced. Perhaps I've been missing out ...”

"Like I said, complicity is not required," Usagi smirked back but added: "What would you have me do in 'fair trade', anyway? Just for argument's sake."
Usagi flushed at Mamoru's remark about bellydance. She just wanted to learn for fun, not because of the 'harem' connotation it seemed to have, though men seemed to get that reaction to it. Usagi briefly wondered about asking Khalid if he had a recommendation for a teacher, he seemed to support the arts as well if Minako's movie was any indication. She wondered what his reaction would be. Maybe she could ask 'for a friend.' Yeah, that'd work. Maybe. "I think we're both bound to be disappointed, then," Usagi replied with a small smile. "I qualified that statement with a 'if I was coordinated.'" She was not coordinated.
"Oh, but having a blow job is so much different from giving one," Usagi chirped in reply.

“Well when you put it that way I suppose I’ll be doing the macarena one of these days. Something for you to look forward to, but not on a bar ...” Mamoru glanced down at her in amusement and added, “unless of course that’s what you’re really wanting, since your being so dominate and all.” He pretended to ponder the question for a moment before saying, “Well I don’t know, I asked you what you would be willing to do for me remember.”
Mamoru’s amused expression faded into one just a little more serious as he replied, “Nonsense, you are more coordinated then you think. You aren’t that awkward little girl anymore Usa, give yourself more credit or at least don’t worry about things like that. If you want to learn any of those dances, do it for yourself just for the fun of it and don’t worry about how you’ll look doing them.” His grin returned as he added, “I personally think you’d look wonderful, but regardless of my opinion you should take the chance and just have fun.”
He swallowed hastily at her words and once again shifted in his seat. “You’re experienced in giving them Usa? If that’s the case I’ve definitely been missing out, perhaps we’ll have to change that. After all, the one from here was good but I’d imagine you could make one far better.”

"What I'd be willing to do for you depend on what you want me to do," Usagi replied.
"Mm-hmm." There he went again! Usagi remembered trying ballet during her teen years, and then there was all of her other disasters. The only time she had managed to really dance was to waltz with Haruka, and that had been totally drunk. Maybe she was more coordinated with alcohol. She couldn't remember how she had been at the ball, once she reached a certain point it was total blackout, from how much she had consumed, not from her inability to focus due to the stress and crazy schedule she had. Maybe another thing she'd have to ask Khalid, when she ran into him again. Though how would she get to point of asking: 'how coordinated was I at the ball?' Again, Usagi appreciated Mamoru's efforts, but he had known her for ten years. He knew what a klutz she was. He had tormented her over it when they had first met. If he thought one night of compliments was going to make her forget a decade of embarrassing klutzy moments, he was going to be sorely disappointed. "Thank you," she said simply, and didn't respond further.
"Oh, I didn't say that. I just said giving and receiving are two very different things. I've only received, never given." Usagi wondered what could happen if she actually tried her hand at mixed drinks. She'd probably create poison on accident. "So, guess you're not missing out on anything..."

“I’d ask for another dance, but you’ve already promised me one next week so that wouldn’t work. You’ve already said you’d give me your friendship so that wouldn’t work.” Mamoru gave her a devilish grin and murmured softly, “I could always ask for a kiss, but then I somehow think you might could argue that a kiss wouldn’t be a fair trade. So maybe I should just ask you for a simple smile, a smile from you always manages to brighten my day ...”
Mamoru sighed softly and shook his head but didn’t comment anymore. Usagi didn’t want to be reassured and he didn’t want to beat the subject to death and irritate her.
“Oh I wouldn’t say that I’m not missing out on anything ...”
He ate a few more of his shrimp before pointing at her oysters, the one dish he didn’t get, and asked, “Would you share one?”
