Age: 13
Gender: Female
Rank/Title: Student
Place of Origin: Kyoto, Japan
Current Home Location: Tokyo, Japan
Preferred Earth Age: The Middle Age is all Mika knows and so it felt safe, but the New Age feels new and exciting and so she’s learning to like it as well.
Occupation: She is a student.
Family:
Father: Saitou Otoya
Mother: Saitou Honomi
Appearance:
Mika has raven black hair that reaches her waist that she generally wears in a single braid tied off with either a purple or blue bow. Her bangs are slightly wild and reach to just above her eyes. She has long lashes and eyes that often change color depending on her emotions. If she is happy then they are usually a bluish color, but if she is angry then they turn a dark purplish-blue almost black color. She is a delicate, petite child standing at 4'8". However, despite her small frame Mika is a bundle of energy and strength.
Mika usually wears the same thing most of the other girls her age wear. She favors blues and purples simply because these are her favorite colors. She prefers to wear loose and comfortable fitting clothes, disliking the feel of tight form fitting clothes. Her most treasured object is a delicate silver chain with a silver heart locket. This belonged to her grandmother and she is never seen without it.
Personality:
Mika has a bright personality and a love of life. She is friendly to a fault and will even chatter on about different things to a complete stranger. She also has a love of being outside and can often be found walking around outside, just enjoying herself.
Mika has an adventurous spirit and doesn't like to be confined for very long. She would much rather be outside then stuck in a building somewhere. Although she likes to learn new things, she has a short attention span preferring instead to go outside and play then to sit in a room and study.
The one thing that can get her to settle down and stay still is her love of music. She shares this passion with both her deceased grandmother and her father. It was her father that has taught her to play the piano, but it was her grandmother that taught her to sing and encouraged her to put her heart and soul into her music.
She believes in trusting someone until they prove untrustworthy and she also believes in making people smile. If she sees a child crying or a person that is down for some reason, Mika will do whatever she can to bring a smile to their face.
However, if Mika believes that someone is doing something wrong such as mistreating an animal, then she doesn't hesitate to let them know what she thinks. She won't soften her words either, she'll tell a person exactly what she thinks of them, even when it’s a person that is older then her. Oddly enough, she can also be very sensitive when it comes to how people act toward her. If they are mean she can be very quick to feel hurt and start crying.
History:
Mika was born the only daughter to Otoya and Honomi Saitou. The first ten years of her life was spent in a small apartment in Kyoto with her mother, father, and her father’s mother. Mika loved all of her family, but she shared a special bond with her grandmother. Otoya and Honomi were both busy with their jobs during the day and so Mika was often left in the care of Shihori, her grandmother.
Mika was a happy little girl that adored her life. She did the best she could in school and while she didn’t get perfect grades she never disappointed her parents. From the time she was old enough to learn her father and grandmother both introduced her to music and taught her how to play the piano and to sing. However, on her tenth birthday everything changed.
Her grandmother suddenly collapsed while listening to one of the newest songs that Mika had learned to play. Shihori was taken immediately to the hospital, but it was too late to save her. The doctors said that she had suffered a massive heart attack. Mika was devastated for a long while. She missed her beloved grandmother terribly and for the next couple of years she ceased being the friendly outgoing girl she usually was. Mika stopped playing with her friends and even stopped playing her music.
When Neo Queen Serenity began her new government, Mika’s mother was offered the job of a lifetime. This was a job that was too good to be passed over and so Mika and her parents moved to Tokyo. They now live in an apartment not that far from where the palace is. Otoya teaches music at Mika’s school and Honomi continues to work as one of Neo Queen Serenity’s aides. With the move, Mika has finally begun to get over her grief. She is starting to become the friendly and outgoing girl she was meant to be. She has even begun playing the piano and to sing once more.

Mika clasped her hands together and begged, “Please mama, I really want to see the Crystal Palace. Can’t I come to work with you just once? Please mama, I’ll be on my best behavior.”
Honomi sighed and looked skyward searching for some sort of patience before turning her gaze back down to her pleading daughter. “Sweetheart, you wouldn’t find the palace very exciting. I would just be doing my job and it’s not a job that a little girl would find very exciting. You hate sitting still Mika and that’s what you would have to do. You’d have to be sit somewhere out of the way and be very quiet. That wouldn’t be very fun now would it?”
Mika’s expression turned quickly into a pout and she fiddled idly with the tail of her braid. “I can sit still mama, please? I’ve never been in a palace before. It would be fun even if I never saw anything exciting. Please mama? I don’t have any school tomorrow. I could come then, please mama.”
Honomi glanced at her husband for some help. However, Otoya just gave her an amused look before saying, “Would it be a lot of trouble Honomi? It’s the first thing she’s really asked for in a long time and it might be educational to see where the new government is at.”
Honomi sighed in frustration once more before smiling slightly and saying, “It’s not fair for both of you to gang up on me like this, but I’ll see what I can do. Now I can’t promise anything, I have to get permission first. However, I will ask and see if it will be ok but Mika you have to promise to be on your best behavior.”
Mika’s eyes brightened with delight as she leaped over to hug her mother tightly. “Oh thank you thank you thank you mama! I promise, I’ll be good. You won’t even know I’m there, I’ll be as quiet as a mouse!”
Honomi laughed softly and returned her daughter’s hug before saying, “I doubt it Mika, I can’t really imagine you being as quiet as a mouse, but we’ll see. Remember though, I have to get permission first. I can’t just bring you there without telling anyone ...”
Mika nodded gleefully before darting off to do her homework, trying to show that she could behave if she wanted to. She heard her mother say it might not be possible, but Mika believed in being optimistic and to her that meant believing her mother would get the permission needed to get her into the palace with ease.
