Ok not really. But with her coming 21st birthday, I figured we could give her some ideas to help her get the party started! (And in the process, help each other out too!)
So feel free to post beer, liquor, wine, cocktails, mixers, recipes and reviews!
I'll start off with a few of my favorites...
Disaronno Amaretto (sweet and delicious, wonderful with Coke)
Sauza Hornitos tequila (one of the few tequilas I can stomach. Stay away from Jose! *barf*)
English Harbour Antiguan Rum (kinda hard to find, but delicious)
Parrot Bay Rum (original coconutty flavor)
Midori Melon Liquer (great with sour mix)
Firefly Sweet Tea vodka (recent discovery... delicious!)
AfterShock Cinnamon (We keep this in the freezer. Even though it's ice cold, it will burn you to the core. Great for a quick warm-up! If anything, you should at least try a nip of it.)
As for the above, most actually can be found in nips. So rather than buying a huge bottle and finding out you hate something, I recommend buying lots of the little nips to make sure you like it. You can always go back and get more! ^_^
I'm not a big beer drinker, but I have found that Sam Adams is really tasty! So, I will recommend a few of my favorites
Sam Adams Summer Ale (Available now! Very light, hint of lemon...not lemon flavored, just very bright. Good stuff!)
Sam Adams Cherry Wheat
Sam Adams Winter Lager (seasonal...winter only, durr)
Sam Adams Boston Lager or Boston Ale - both are pretty good!
Wines - I'm just starting to get into wine, so this list will be short. I recommend starting with lighter, sweeter wines before you go with the drys and reds.
Fu-Ki Plum Wine (goes great with any Asian food, or great as a dessert wine)
Riesling - I recommend Relax and Schmittsohne brands. Both are quite good.
Riunite Lambrusco - A very sweet Italian red. And cheap!!
I've got a bottle of VanillaVine Pinot that I plan on cracking open tonight. Will report back with a review. Also have a bottle of cherry wine, blueberry wine and a bottle of Sabra chocolate orange liquer. Will review those as well as I try them. ^_^
Ok people, post up whatcha got and help a sistah out!!
