I'm very excited to be here. ^^ I've wanted to RP Hotaru for a long time. I hope I'll be able to get to know you all and have some fun here!

She is an extraordinary child, well ahead of the majority of her classmates, with plenty of interests, such as a fascination with music nurtured by Michiru. She is also part of the Royal Court, and a protector for Neo-Queen Serenity.
Family: Her birth parents were Professor Souichi and Keiko Tomoe. After her reincarnation she was adopted and raised by Michiru, Haruka, and Setsuna. She loves them very much, and considers all the Senshi part of her family.

Personality: With people who do not know or understand her well, Hotaru is extremely shy and socially awkward, due to her powers and intelligence, but only at first. With her close friends and family she is a sweet, gentle, girl with a great warmth and spirit. She tends to be somewhat independent, having been alone and taking care of herself for quite some time. She enjoys the simple pleasures in life, and will work hard towards her goals.
Emotionally, Hotaru is far beyond most of her age due to her many incarnations and is quite wise for her age. She is able to remain calm amidst pressure, and do what she must. Sacrifice is nothing new to her, and she understands the meaning of it all too well. Even though she is normally sweet and gentle, Hotaru can become deadly when provoked, becoming cold and stoic, clear sighted and able to make difficult decisions with ease and mercilessness.
History: Hotaru has an extremely complicated history full of a great deal of loneliness and tragedy, up until she met her fellow Senshi.
She was reborn on earth to Professor Tomoe and Keiko who were both scientists. One day when she was a child they brought her to their laboratory, and a horrible accident occurred. Her mother was killed, her father injured, and Hotaru too was gravely wounded and near death. Professor Tomoe made a deal with the wicked being Pharaoh 90, giving his daughter another chance at life, though at a terrible cost. He was possessed by a demon, and Hotaru’s body became a host for Mistress 9.
Hotaru grew up very much alone, sick, and an outcast, shunned by her classmates who were frightened of her. It was not until she met Chibi-Usa that she at last had a true friend. However, the Death Busters were putting there plan into action, and Mistress 9 began to take control over Hotaru’s body, at last succeeding after consuming Chib-Usa’s pure heart crystal. Sailor Moon though refused to believe that Hotaru was gone and fought to protect her, giving Hotaru the time to find the strength to regain control of her body and awaken as Sailor Saturn.
Unfortunately, she did not get the opportunity to live that life much longer, sacrificing herself to destroy Pharaoh 90. Yet, Hotaru was reborn as an infant, appearing in the arms of Sailor Moon after the battle was won. She had been granted another chance at life.
This time, it was the Outer Senshi who raised her with love and care that she had not known before. She was a much happier child, and still refers to the others as Michiru-mama, Setsuna-mama, and Haruka-papa. She grew at an accelerated rate, growing swiftly back into a young teenager in preparation for the battles with the Dead Moon and Galaxia.
After these battles, she returned to a slightly younger age, and was able to grow up relatively normal- as normal as she could, all things considered. She continues to go to school and does quite well, excelling in her studies and working hard in her duties as a Senshi. She has a keen interest in world history, and some desire to learn more about the medical field.
She has a few friends outside of the Senshi group, and is continuing to work at her social skills. It's a hard time for her though, as she misses Chibi-Usa and waits for the day her friend will be born. Physically though she's a child, mentally she is more mature and makes the gulf between her and her classmates all the wider, in addition to their awe of her position. Often, Hotaru finds herself wishing to be older in an attempt to fit in social circles better.
She's still trying to find her place amongst the Senshi in many ways, being the youngest of the group. When she isn't studying, she spends her time with the other Senshi in their various tasks and duties in an attempt to find a niche where she can serve best and be at her happiest.
Powers: Her frail, fragile appearance is very deceiving, as Hotaru is the Senshi of Death and Rebirth, Destruction, and Silence. The Outer Senshi feared her coming so much that they tried to prevent her awakening, believing it would bring destruction to the entire world.
Hotaru has several abilities in her civilian form, unlike most of the other Senshi. On some occasions she has been able to summon energy bolts to protect herself, in addition to being able to reconstruct an illusion of the galaxy in her hands. She has the ability to heal minor injuries as of now- it is unknown whether or not she has the capacity to heal larger scaled ones. Also she appears to possess some precognition ability and can sense when momentous danger or change is going to happen.
In her Senshi form, she has several more abilities. Her Silence Wall is a powerful barrier of dark energy thrown up to protect herself and others from enemy attacks. She uses her glaive in battle with great skill, wielding it in the majority of her attacks including her Silent Glaive Surprise. Her most powerful ability is Death Reborn Revolution, a power strong enough to wipe out an entire planet with the motion of her bringing down the glaive. However, this great power is a double edged sword, requiring her to sacrifice her own life.
As of now, she has had little chance to explore her abilities due to the intense consequences of her true power, making her connection to her planet, Saturn, no where near as powerful as it was during the Silver Millennium.
Past Life: Hotaru does not remember much of the Silver Millennium, having been asleep during the majority of the period. She was awakened to destroy the Moon Kingdom and Silver Millennium after it’s downfall.
She remembers quite well her life during the time of her possession of Mistress 9, before her death at the destruction of Pharaoh 90. She thinks back on this time with mixed feelings of sadness and joy, as it was during this life that she was befriended by Chibi-Usa and the rest of the Senshi.
RP Sample: Her fingers ghosted across the smooth crisp paper of the book, her body still, eyes riveted to the page as they skimmed quickly down the column, absorbing the information rapidly. Lips delicately pursed, her chin resting in her hands, she concentrated with a surprising single-mindedness for a child her age.
A soft chime brought her out of her reverie, dark purple orbs blinking as she came back to the conscious world. A quick glance at the clock affirmed what it’s cheerful chime had already told her: it was a little past 3:00 PM and time for her music lesson.
Sighing softly, Hotaru closed the book, her hand lingering for a moment before she rose smoothly, her bare feet silent on the floor as she left her apartments and hurried toward the music room where she could already hear the delightful strains of a familiar melody, violin strings harmonizing with the clear notes of piano. She had heard it since she had been in their care, the song they had hummed to lull her to sleep at night, the very first notes that she had learned to play when Michiru-mama had taught her how to play on her small recorder and then the violin she loved so well. It was the sound of home.
