Ami sighed slightly looking at Makoto, "That's more cleavage than I normally show... is there maybe a way to alter it slightly... to cover just a bit more? Or maybe a nice drape would make it a bit less revealing?" She turned back to Eiko, hopeful.
"I mean..." She couldn't look at Makoto as she made the next comment, "It is winter and I'm sure it'll be cold."
"No, you absolutely cannot ruin this dress with a drape, and it's really quite modest, just a hint of cleavage." Eiko smiled, while she wanted to make the sell, the fact was that both the young women were striking in their respective gowns.
Ami sighed slightly, a bit defeated. "I don't know... I'll probably trip over the train..." It was a last ditch effort.

She rolled her eyes again at Ami’s suggestion of getting a wrap or something to cover herself up. Then shot a glare when she mentioned it being cold. Before she could reply, Eiko had answered again. Makoto agreed. “Ami-chan, there is no need for a drape. You know it’s not going to be cold. The party is indoors! If anything it’s going to be very hot, what with all the guests crowding the ballrooms.” And with that, she’d single-handedly blown their cover.
Eiko raised her eyebrow at the mention of ballrooms. It was then that she put two and two together and realized just who exactly was standing in front of her.

Ami didn't have to see the glare to know it was there. Even if her friend could have forgotten that she liked cold - which was no more likely than Ami forgetting Makoto's love of thunder storms, they had just talked about it earlier.
However, when she noticed that Makoto referred to plural ballrooms, she felt herself blush. Any White Tie event was likely to be in a ballroom, but only one would need multiples.
"I'll have these delivered to the palace for you. They should be there by the end of the day." She bowed slightly to the Senshi buying dresses from her! "Is there anything else that you'll be needing?"
"Could you not tell everyone? If we could slip out quietly... please?"
She nodded, "Of course. I'll leave you to let you get changed. Thank you."

Makoto cringed as she realized what she’d let slip. Ami was so good with these sorts of things, though, and had it taken care of within seconds. She smiled to Eiko as she left the fitting room, then turned to Ami. “This is what happens when you refuse to admit how pretty you are! You get me all flustered trying to beat it into your head that you look gorgeous and I go and blurt out something like that. Now you have no choice but to buy and wear that dress, and you’re gonna like it.”
Back in the fitting room, she placed her dress back on the hanger and quickly changed back into her regular clothing. She grabbed her purse and hung the dress over her arm and made her way over to the counter where Eiko was waiting. Smiling again she handed Eiko the dress. “I’ll be paying for both of these, if you like to ring us up.” She knew Ami could just give her the cash back later, though even that wasn’t really necessary. Eiko gave Makoto the total amount and she handed her a credit card for the dresses, then slipped her another rather large bill. “Thank you so much for all of your help today. It’s our own fault for waiting until the last minute to get something, but if it weren’t for you we’d still be hunting. And I appreciate you having these delivered for us. Thank you again, for everything.”
She stepped aside, waiting for Ami to bring her dress to Eiko as well. Once she was out of the dressing room, Mako smiled. “I’ve already taken care of the bill. Why don’t we go hit up that bookstore you were talking about?”

Ami blushed slightly as Makoto fussed at her. "Yes, Ma'am." She smiled to her friend as they went into their separate rooms, glad that she was not giving her grief over the cold comment, which she knew was a bad attempt to get out of showing a bit of skin.
When she came out, she blinked as she handed Eiko the dress. "Making sure I couldn't back out?" She raised an eyebrow slightly at her sister, the blush stain gone from her cheeks for now. "And yes, I think I need my comfort zone right now. Books are good and safe."
She smiled to Eiko, "Thank you for the help."
