Character Info: (sorry guys, I wrote a frickin' novel!)
Name: Kino Makoto
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Rank/Title: Princess/Sailor Senshi Jupiter
Place of Origin: SilMil: Io Castle, Jupiter - Present day: Tokyo, Japan
Current Home Location: Crystal Palace
Preferred Earth Age: New Earth, with sympathies towards Middle Earth
Occupation: Chef/Baker, Palace Culinary Director
Family: Parents deceased, no other known living relatives
Appearance:
Personality: Mako tends to be labled as the "muscle" within her circle of friends. She did indeed study martial arts and is quite the accomplished fighter. It's been rumored that when she was 14 she was transferred to Azabu Juban from her old school after getting into a fight, which she's never confirmed (or denied). She's incredibly strong willed and will quickly stand up to anyone to fight for what she believes in and will do anything to protect her friends. Combining this strong personality with her towering height (compared to other girls, and even some guys), Mako can seem quite intimidating.
However, there is much more to her than meets the eye. There's a much softer side to this girl that only her closest friends get to see. She's ultra feminine, and loves everything pink and frilly and girly. She's an excellent chef and homemaker, and dreams of being married, raising a family, and owning her own baking and floral businesses. She may be the youngest of her friends, but she also tends to play the role of "big sister". She is the shoulder her friends can cry on and always has something kind to say to help cheer someone up.
History: Makoto was born into an "average" family. Her parents loved and doted on her from day one. They took her to carnivals, on vacations, all the things any normal family would do. Her mother would let her help in the kitchen, cooking and baking. Her father taught her how to garden. Everything was beautiful and perfect...Until that sad and fateful day. Shortly after Mako turned 7, her parents went on a business trip overseas and sadly, did not return. Their plane had crashed, leaving her orphaned. With no other living relatives, she was forced into an orphanage where she lived until the age of 14. The money her parents had left was placed into a trust fund, their belongings into storage. All she had was a pair of rose earrings that her parents had mailed home just a few days before they died. She put them on, and has not removed them from her ears ever since.
Life at the orphanage was not an easy one. She was different from the other children. Despite her young age, she was rather independant and self sufficient. She was athletic, sporty, and physically strong. And then there was her height. She was unusually tall for girls her age, taller than the boys even. The other children saw her as a giant, tomboyish and masculine. Whispers and giggles echoed through the hallways as she passed by. She didn't care. She didn't need anyone else, and she liked it that way.
Several years later, she met him. An older boy, handsome, friendly and one of the sweetest smiles she'd ever seen. And he spoke to her! To HER!! She was instantly smitten. They became good friends - talking all the time, studying together, playing sports, etc. She just knew they would be together forever. Until he shared a secret with her. He was in love with a girl in his class, and they were making plans to leave the orphanage together once they finished their schooling. Mako was heartbroken. How could she not have known? Why hadn't he told her sooner? He was the only person she trusted, and even he betrayed her. She had to get away.
When she turned 14, she was granted partial access to her inheritance. Although it was not a large sum of money, it was enough for her to afford a small apartment near a public school. She'd had enough heartbreak for one lifetime and decided she would be much better off on her own than to be somewhere that she felt unwanted anyways. She made her arrangements and left the orphanage. It wasn't long after she'd begun attending her school where she noticed the same things happening over again. Whispers, giggles, and sometimes direct insults. But she was older now and knew even better how to handle herself. She thought she knew how to get them to leave her alone. Turns out all it did was get her transferred to another school. This, however, was not a bad thing.
Shortly after her transfer, it is revealed to her that she is Sailor Jupiter. She's introduced to the other Senshi, and while cautious she befriends them. Over time through meetings, battles, sleepovers, arguements and make-ups, they have become the family she'd always wanted. While she remains strong and independant, she has grown to love and trust them all through thick and then. They are her true friends.
Since all of this, she has completed her schooling and was granted access to the rest of her family's inheritance. She immediately enrolled into a cooking school where she flourished and graduated at the top of her class. She is now head chef at the best restaurant in Tokyo, has plans to open her own line of bakeries, and has been assigned as chief culinary director within the Crystal Palace. All of her dreams are finally falling into place...except for one. She doesn't know why, but she intensely feels that someone important is missing and secretly her heart aches for that person, though she does not know where or who they are.
Powers: Primary - Electric-based powers. Using the lightning rod in her tiara, she can call forth lightning and thunder to dispatch enemies. Most commonly used are her "Supreme Thunder" and "Sparkling Wide Pressure" attacks. She also has a couple other more powerful attacks such as "Supreme Thunder Dragon", but this is rarely used as her more common attacks usually work best.
Secondary - Natural-based powers. Calling upon the powers of earth (nature, not the planet), she uses attacks such as "Oak Evolution" and "Coconut Cyclone".
These powers are continuing to evolve, however she tends to rely mostly on her already-known attacks and physical strength against enemies.
Past Life: Makoto remembers the least about the Silver Milennium of all her counterparts. She knows the big things such as being Princess of Jupiter and her selection as Senshi of Jupiter. She remembers being guardian to the Princess of the moon and of her budding romance with the Prince of earth, and that's where it all becomes blurry to her. The last of her memory ends with the fall of the Moon Kingdom and she can recall part of the battle, but has no memory of how she died. She's tried having the others share what they recall but nothing has helped to trigger whatever is left in those blank spaces. This is extremely frustrating to her as she wishes to be able to remember as much as everyone else.
She has had no reconnection with Jupiter other than that which came with being reinstated as a Senshi.
