Taking tours of embassies and consulates around Tokyo was something that Usagi did fairly often. They were located around her old neighborhood of Azabu, anyway, and she almost always enjoyed going.
However, she would lying if she said she entirely wound up here because of official reasons. When her political advisors mentioned that a stop by the Romanian embassy would be a good idea, she jumped at the chance, remembering the alluring diplomat and former prince she danced with at the ball. There were no promises she would run into him, but he had captured her intrigue enough that simply seeing the embassy of his country would be a treat in and of itself.
Even the maids knew something was up, when she dressed for the event she eschewed the stuffy suit that had been planned for her, choosing a dress instead. Nothing too formal, but it was better than a suit... She tarried in the bathroom fixing her hair, and preened unnecessarily in the car on the way over.
Finding herself there, she took the official tour with her entourage, greeted a few people, and then followed them into a small reception room. The catering looked good, but Usagi wanted to explore much more than the short tour that had been planned for her. She managed to slip out into the hallway, glancing around with curiosity. She ran her fingers gently down the wall. It was a beautifully furnished place, definitely a different style from the Palace...
There was a door to her right and she wondered where it lead to. Smiling to herself, she turned the knob and laughed as it opened to a broom closet. "Figures... The most interesting looking door to me turns out to be the broom closet," she murmured to herself, oblivious to anyone else in the hall.
