Mamoru nodded once in agreement to what Motoki was saying, his own headache pounding much more after having dealt with them. He glanced over at Lucan when the other man started talking about reporters calling in fake car bombs just to get people out of the car so that they could take a picture. He didn’t say anything, but it made him even more uncomfortably aware that perhaps he should take Lucan and Usagi up on their offer for that security detail. These were things he didn’t know how to handle and even with his mind. Technically he did know a good deal of all of this, he just hadn’t really thought about any of it. He hadn’t ever had to deal with it, other then knowing some of the stuff that Usagi had to go through.
He growled in irritation and pain when Motoki smacked him in the face. He glared over at his friend for a moment before waving Motoki away and saying, “It’s ok Motoki, it’s not like I haven’t already been hit in the face today. Don’t worry about it.”
Mamoru was about to respond to Lucan’s idea about taking Motoki to the palace when the accident happened. He grimaced, all thoughts of his own horrible day gone as he began to worry about the people stuck in the vehicle. He nodded faintly when Lucan mentioned that this was one reason why. He fully understood know, the media would obviously stop at nothing to get what they thought of as a good story. He glared out the window, disturbed that not one person was moving to help the victims. He briefly thought about asking Lucan to stop, knowing that the people inside could really need help. However, at the sound of the distant wail of the siren and the thought that it would only complicate matters, Mamoru remained silent. His dislike of the media growing heavier the more he thought about it. These were things he didn’t know how to deal with, because even now he was feeling guilty about not having stopped to help the victims of the accident.
He remained thoughtfully silent until Lucan had told Motoki the time. After a moment he murmured, “I think it would be a good idea to take Motoki to the palace Lucan, that way perhaps it would take them that much longer to find where he lives. Also, I’m seriously considering taking you up on your earlier offer of protection ... that is if it’s still valid of course and I don’t have to see them.”
