Reconciling Wrongs(Artemis/Minako)evening 12/29

[Aino Minako]

Minako looked down at Artemis. "Fix them? Usagi and Mamoru? There has to be.. I'm just not quite sure what that is yet. There is too much at stake - the entire future Crystal Tokyo is founded on Usagi and Mamoru's love." Minako felt certain of this. Suddenly, she wished Pluto were around to consult. Pluto would know how to fix this mess, even if she wasn't supposed to interfere with time or share what she knew about the future.

"But there is little we can do tonight," Minako continued, leaning her head back against the couch and closing her eyes. Every day at the palace was exhausting, which Minako found funny, considering she'd expected her visit to be a vacation. "So where have you been, Artemis?" she asked her feline companion.

[Artemis]

Artemis nodded at Minako's statement that Usagi and Mamoru-sans relationship can be fixed. He also agreed nothing could be done about it right now. He chuckled when Minako asked where he had been. He pulled a simple brown ribbon and had an amused look in his eyes.
"My story is a little bit of a comedy. On the night I left you I wondered around without any direction, but ended up with this group of cats. It did not occur to me at the time that they would be feuding alley cats. So I was with them for a few days until a feud broke out. I did not want to fight so when I tried to run away, I was knocked out and taken somewhere.
I was hurt and left out in the rain. Then this kind man picked me up and took me home. He treated my wounds and asked who did I belong to? I just gave a sad meow and he told me to rest. He protected me and treated me like a pet. He even gave me the name Beauregard. So he tied a brown color on me and kept me around him while he talked with his friends about politics. I heard that things were getting tense around the palace but nothing in detail. After I was well again, I stayed a couple more days but then I missed you and Luna. Then I heard one of the men say that the famous Idol Aino Minako is expecting. I was desperate to get back but I had to thank my protector. So before I left I had typed a note and left a few pointers on politics.
Then I found one of your friendly bodyguards and heard him mention something about the palace. It took a week or more days to track down a guard so that I could get back."
Artemis let out a breath and waited for Minako's response.

Minako continued to softly stroke Artemis' fur. She listened silently to his story, her mind turning with the events of the past couple of days. Part of her yearned for the less complicated life of touring - even with all the crazy fans and high paced action. The palace drama seemed to never end and every moment was more distressing than the one before.

"I'm glad you were found and I'm glad you're safe." Minako said softly. "Have you seen Luna since you've arrived at the palace?"

Artemis noticed that Minako seemed to be thinking about something else. However he just let it be because he knew if he asked now she wouldn't tell him. He resolved to wait until she was ready. He was a little surprised at her question not that she asked but how she asked. It confirmed his suspicion that something heavy was on Minako's mind. "Yes I talked with Luna just before you let me in your room. She seems like she is more distracted, and you are too. I won't pressure you just know that if things gets too heavy I am here to listen." Artemis purred and licked Minako's hand to show a little affection

Minako gave Artemis a weak smile, "Luna needs your support. She always has. She's always loved you. You should be sure to spend time with her as well. Everything that happens to Usagi impacts her as well, and plenty has been happening to Usagi lately."

Minako sank back into the sofa and closed her eyes. She was tired, but she still had material to review from Lucan and another part of the script to memorize. She realized she hadn't eaten since the day before, but she wasn't all that hungry. Business in the palace was far more stressful than business touring on the road. Still, habits were what had caused her fight with Artemis in the first place. "You hungry?"

[Artemis]

Artemis felt happy that he had succeeded in his mission to get on even ground with Minako. The answer to her question came in the form of his stomach growling. He let out a nervous/embarrassed laugh at the sound.
"I think that would be a good idea. Since I haven't had anything good to eat for three days."

[Aino Minako]

"I'll call up room service," Minako replied. "We can just eat here. And then, I probably need to rest. I've been stressed about a couple of things Artemis and well, you know how important sleep can be." The blond gave the cat one last scratch under the chin, then stood and headed for her telephone. A quick call down to room service and a dinner order had been placed. "Why don't I show you the apartment while we wait for our food. And if you'd like, you can sleep here today. My bed is plenty big for the both of us."

[Artemis]

Artemis purred as Minako pets him. He noticed the hint she gave him about sleep. However he let it go and allowed her to win. He did like the idea of just eating there. From what he had seen of Minako’s room he was pleased with it. He smiled as she offered to show him around.
“I would like that Minako. Thank you for allowing me to stay.”
He walked around the room with her. He wondered if she knew how to navigate the halls. There were bright colors such as gold and orange all around us. I notice she had dedicated one space to her business on her music.
“I am glad to have your friendship back Minako.”
He waited on the food with Minako and it ended at least one worry of him losing his ties to Minako. He had accomplished his goal and now he has successfully reconciled his wrong. Once the food arrived they ate together like they did back in the good old days, like two best friends.
